Bell-Kenz Pharma Partners With Philippine Sports Commission To Train Coaches, Athletes in Sagip CPR

Athletes, coaches, para-athletes and sports commission employees are the target participants for the November 4 training.
Bell-Kenz Pharma and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) are preparing to train at least 1,000 national athletes, coaches, para-athletes and PSC employees in CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED) use and drowning response through Sagip CPR on November 4, at the MPA Ultra (Philsports Multi-Purpose Arena).
Bell-Kenz Pharma, represented by Corporate Branding and Public Affairs Head Patrick Larraga and Public Affairs Manager Anna Leah “Poteet” Morales, met with PSC Chairman John Patrick C. Gregorio and Commissioner Walter Francis K. Torres to discuss preparations for the SAGIP CPR training and a proposed partnership to support athletes and PSC personnel.
National athletes, including Nesthy Petecio and Elreen Ando, also joined the meeting following their participation in the 2026 Asian Games.
The training will emphasize the proper response to drowning emergencies and will also include lectures and demonstrations on Hands-Only CPR and AED use. A total of 100 CPR manikins will be available for practical exercises, allowing participants to practice the techniques demonstrated during the sessions.

“For athletes and coaches involved in water sports, knowing how to prevent and respond to drowning is an important part of safety. Through Sagip CPR, we hope to equip the sports community with practical knowledge and skills to respond to emergencies in and out of the water,” said Patrick Larraga.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will transport athletes from various locations to the venue, and help the Philippine Life Saving in assisting with lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises.
Bell-Kenz Pharma and PSC will also conduct a press conference at the PSC Media Room, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex on October 27 and support the launch of the World Surf League in Siargao on October 30.
