Every Being Matters: Bell-Kenz Pharma Champions Voices of Persons with Cerebral Palsy, Brings Nutraceuticals to CPAP Week

Bell-Kenz Pharma took part in a week-long celebration of talent, shared stories, and community spirit, distributing Ultima, Immune-G, and Civaz to around 230 persons with cerebral palsy, caregivers, families, advocates, and disability organizations on September 16 at the opening of the 23rd Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection Week at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Multi-Purpose Hall.

With the theme “One Shared Voice, One Collective Choice: Advocacy → Empowerment,” the week-long celebration emphasized the importance of working together to create opportunities for persons with cerebral palsy to participate, express themselves, and help shape decisions affecting their lives.

Bell-Kenz Pharma showed its support to persons with cerebral palsy who took on stage to share their inspirational testimonies of their struggles living with the disorder and how they will overcome these to achieve their aspirations in the future.

In recognizing their talents, the pharmaceutical company also provided gift packs for winners of the CPAP Got Talent, which gathered participants to showcase various talents– from singing to dancing and even sports.

“Persons with cerebral palsy have talents, ambitions, and perspectives that deserve recognition. Supporting inclusion means listening to their voices and helping create opportunities for them to participate meaningfully in community life,” Bell-Kenz Pharma Public Affairs Head Anna Leah “Poteet” Morales said during the event.

The gathering also highlighted the importance of caregivers and families in the celebration, recognizing the efforts they make to provide a space for their patients to demonstrate their capabilities and mold their ambitions.

“We hope the conversations and connections built through this celebration continue beyond the week itself. Through sustained cooperation among families, disability organizations, government, and the private sector, we can help make our communities more responsive to the needs and aspirations of persons with cerebral palsy,” Ms. Morales added.

Also attending the week-long celebration were Commissioner Walter Francis Torres of the Philippine Sports Commission; Chester Paul Torio of the DENR; David Gonzaga, vice president of the Cerebral Palsied Association of the Philippines, Inc.; and Jayme Mariño, IECD chief of the National Commission on Disability Affairs.

The opening brought different sectors together around a shared responsibility: translating advocacy into everyday opportunities for participation and empowerment. From celebrating talent to listening to lived experiences, the occasion underscored that greater understanding for persons with disabilities can help build more inclusive communities.
