KAAGAPAY SA KALINGA: Bell-Kenz Pharma Distributes Rechargeable Lamps to SITODA Members

Committed to its role of strengthening communities and livelihoods, Bell-Kenz Pharma distributed rechargeable lamps to 60 members of the Sipaway Tricycle Owners and Drivers Association (SITODA) on Sipaway Island, off the coast of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Beyond Sipaway Island’s white-sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, and fresh seafood lies a community that has endured frequent brownouts and power outages following Typhoon Odette and, more recently, Typhoon Tino. These disruptions have threatened the livelihoods of residents, particularly tricycle drivers who also fish at night to provide for their families and depend on reliable lighting to work safely.

With the rechargeable lamps, SITODA members can continue transporting residents and visitors during the day and fish safely after dark.
